Silo
AlloySwim champion all things lo-fi and post-rock so we should champion them too, but this release is a step backwards. Silo lie somewhere between Mogwai, Loop (all sounding good so far), Ozric Tentacles (oh…) and Depeche Mode (blimey.) Which is being a bit unfair because Alloy is nice music to listen to. It's all in funny time signatures, (y'now, those ones you can't dance to) and played by a band. Weird… people playing instruments. Anyway, I don't want to sound like I'm giving advice but lose the synths guys and get freaky on guitars maxed through FX. It'll do you a world of good.
