Suncycle
Somebody (Coolie Dance Riddim)
By Gabriel Myddelton

Bright British bashment hopes Suncycle (from Harlesden) live up to their potential with this posse cut on one of the biggest and best dancehall riddims of 2003 last year: Coolie Dance. Produced by the consistently brilliant and innovative Scatta (Kings of Kings), this may be a few months old but still feels completely fresh and its bouncy beat and Indian chants make it completely irresistable.

The Suncycle crew bait the hook with a tempting female R&B-tinged chorus and reel in the listener with a ‘one member, one verse’ policy that keeps the tune dynamic and interesting throughout.
