Tracks by The Advent are to DJs what planks are to builders: useful, solid, a bit hard, rather uninteresting on their own but perfect as the foundation for something housey. This is solid yet dependable techno of the stone-caught-in-909-washing-machine variety with one pacey electro foray that could be an ad for a chase sequence involving the smuggling of a vodka and lemon drink out of Brezhnev-era Moscow.
