Transparent Sound
Variations of an Attitude

Adam Aiken and Eleanor Meredith present a wartime tale of bats, squirrels and forbidden love.

Filmmaker Adam Aiken and illustrator Eleanor Meredith have produced this new work to accompany the music of British electro-funk legends Transparent Sound. Set in the depths of an imaginary forest, the video to Variations of an Attitude tells a tale of love and war, where bats and squirrels battle for supremacy, and fate brings together two youngsters from opposing sides.

Adam Aiken has been making films since graduating in Fine Art from the Southampton Institute. Together with colleague Shelley Revill, Adam has produced videos for The Mountain Goats (4AD), The Delgados and most recently Birdengine (Benbecula); the duo's work has achieved critical acclaim on the BBC Film Network site and caught the attention of various film festivals in the UK and further afield, including Lithuania, Pakistan and Holland. Adam also recently made a video for Paul Blackford’s Latitude on WeMe Records.

Eleanor Meredith in an artist and illustrator based in Scotland. Her style is cute, charismatic and very distinctive — loafing mermen and swingball-playing otters are just some of the characters appearing in her portfolio. Eleanor has recently begun working in the medium of animation.

Orson Bramley and Martin Brown have been making music under the name Transparent Sound since the mid-nineties and have established themselves as one of the UK's leading electro acts. They have released tracks on their own imprints, Transparent Sound and Orson Records, and labels such as Electrix, Exceptional, Mass Transit and Satamile.
